OH HEY THERE.
My name is Kirsten Larson and this portfolio website will show you some of the projects I have worked on. These are for school or for others or simply for my own enjoyment, whether it is graphic design, web design, hand lettering, or photography. I just want to create for the ultimate Creator, so here is some of what I have done. And if you want to know a little more about me and how I got here, keep reading.
CODING.
I grew up the daughter of a computer programmer. I realized my freshman year of college that I loved coding. My dad had tried for years to teach me, but I never actually listened until I discovered a website in which you could learn how to code HTML and CSS.  I fell in love with it.
GRAPHIC DESIGN.
I also grew up a lover of making my environment "pretty". Whether that meant having pretty school supplies or creating a wallpaper for my computer because I couldn't find the design I had pictured in my mind. I started a blog during my gap year in between high school and college, and doing that not only helped spark my love for coding, but also my love for graphic design. I honestly loved the graphic design element of blogging way more than I actually liked blogging. The fall semester of my sophomore year I also took a graphic design class, which just ignited my love for graphic design.
ALL TOGETHER NOW.
I found that there was a major that married those two things I was passionate about. As an IT: Web Development major, I am learning about programming, as well as graphic design. I feel like I have found what it is I want to do the rest of my life.
